Highland Mint, Spirit of Columbia, Space Shuttle Columbia, STS-107

On February 1st 2003, the Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated during re-entry over Texas, on its 28th mission, killing all seven crew members.

The seven astronauts on board the STS-107 were: Rick Husband (commander), Willie McCool (pilot), Michael P. Anderson, Laurel B. Clark, David M. Brown, Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon, and Kalpana Chawla.

The Spirit of Columbia photomint from Highland Mint honors the brave men and women who lost their lives aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia.
